Description: Ruffsong Ranch is a very small family-run
breeding farm. We only have 2 or 3 very special foals per
year. Our goal is to produce lovely, athletic draft crosses that
will excel in any discipline--from trail riding to upper level
dressage competition. We believe that draft crosses, with
their sturdy bone and feet, steady and calm temperaments
and MAGNIFICENCE are capable of filling any need!
Our AQHA stallion adds a bit of refinement, more athleticism
and COLOR to the strength, size and beauty of our draft
mares. We strive to produce a well-balanced, willing,
conformationally correct equine companion, all in a lovely,
feathered, dun or grulla package that is as pleasing to the
eye as it is to ride or drive!
For me personally, these horses take me back to a time
when I was small, and horses seemed HUGE and filled me
with awe---but as one gets older, bigger and "used to" being
around them, the awe-inspiring effect fades. Being around
drafts and draft crosses brings that feeling back, that feeling
of wonder in their presence, and appreciation of their
